How to Secure Your Rollers
Pick your preferred method
Open the claw clip
Open the claw clip and place it over the roller, securing it to the hair at the base of the roller and close to the root.
Position the clip
Position the clip so it holds the roller against the scalp, keeping it from dangling, slipping or moving.
Things to note
- Ensure the clip is positioned as close to the root as possible to avoid creating hair creases. If the clip sits too high on the roller, creases are more likely.
- Using the claw clip will likely leave a kink. This is unavoidable but they WILL drop out.
Notice the curve
The PinHead is slightly curved. This is designed to follow the roller's curve. When placing the pin, ensure it is going in the same direction as the hair.
Position the pin
Sit it on top of the roller, curved side down, and the ends are underneath the hair.
Secure the roller
Following the direction of the hair, track the pin around the roller until you feel an obvious 'bite' and the pin is lying flat on the scalp.
Things to note
- The PinHead is fiddly, but once you master it, you won't look back.
- It's incredibly secure, and you are less likely to get kinks in your hair.
- Ensure the ends of the clips are not poking through the hair before wrapping it around the roller.
